Pediatrician Jobs
Pediatric
The Bureau of Labor Statistics predicts that job prospects for pediatricians will be very good in the next decade. Pediatric care focuses on a child’s medical condition and treatment options. While children have most of the same medical conditions as adults, because of their age and inability to describe symptoms the same way adults can, this field can be especially challenging. Like all physicians, before an individual may begin studying pediatric care, a candidate must complete medical school. After medical school, a physician completes four years of additional training in a residency program. Fellowship opportunities are also available for physicians that would like to specialize in a particular area of pediatric care. Pediatricians earn $150,000 to $200,000 per year based upon the number of years they have been in practice and whether they are employed by a hospital or work in a private practice office.
