Physical Therapy Management
The Bureau of Labor Statistics predicts that job opportunities for health care professions will be excellent, including management positions in physical therapy. A management position in the physical therapy department of a hospital or clinic involves monitoring all staff including registered physical therapists, assistants and other professionals. Most positions in management are obtained by working at a hospital or clinic, first as a physical therapist before being promoted to a management position because of a candidate’s strong communication or leadership skills. In addition, a physical therapist may earn a Master’s Degree in physical therapy or management to obtain a supervisory or manager position. An individual working in physical therapy management can expect to earn $70,000 and above each year depending on their skill and the geographical location of the position.
