Description:

Texas Health Dallas is seeking to hire a Clinical Outcomes Specialist for our Neuro Administration Department.


The location is Texas Health Dallas, 8200 Walnut Hill Drive, Dallas, Texas, 75231.


Salary range is $27.57/hour – Max $47.01/hour – based on relevant experience.


Work Schedule


• Full Time – Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm


The Clinical Outcomes Specialist is responsible for concurrently review patients' records for completeness of documentation related to core measures, regulatory requirements, etc. Maintains daily operations of the clinical database system, i.e. Premier, the hospital performance improvement program, and other quality committees as needed. The essential job functions for this position are:



  • Responsible for performance improvement consultation and education of hospital staff and medical staff using performance improvement techniques and data.

  • Facilitates performance improvement teams and committees for specified clinical and non-clinical services.

  • Responsible for the design of reports to facilitate and support the development and implementation of hospital and system targets.

  • Uses appropriate benchmarking/research, statistical methods, aggregates data, analyzes data, displays data graphically, and prepares reports for performance improvement projects, medical staff, and medical staff quality review.

  • Coordinates and prepares reports / supporting documentation for regulatory compliance.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.


 


The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:



  • Associate's Degree in Healthcare-related field required.

  • Bachelor's Degree in healthcare, business, mathematics, or a closely related field required.

  • Master's Degree in healthcare, business, mathematics, or closely related field preferred.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Preferred

  • 3 years of experience in a clinical setting required.

  • 1-year quality abstraction experience preferred.

  • If RN, experience in Neuro Preferred

  • Clinical licensure commensurate with area of expertise (if applicable) required upon hire.

  • Registered Nurse License upon hire preferred


Skills



  • Expertise in clinical data collection, aggregation, analysis, display of data using spreadsheet applications.

  • Excellent verbal and written skills.

  • Advanced computer proficiency.

  • Strong facilitation/presentation skills/project management skills.
