JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Nurse Practitioner:
- Provides patient physical examinations), diagnosis and course of treatment as allowable by certification and Washington Standards of Practice.
- Provides employee pre-hire physical examinations
- Provides employee physical examinations with on-the-job injuries
- Refers to in-network specialists providers when appropriate.
- Provides care to patients age 2 and above.
- Provides chronic care management and education to patients when needed.
- Provides services as a consultant for all health program operations involving, disease state management, adverse health trends and safety concerns.
- Assists with arranging for appropriate diagnostic testing
- Assists in treatment decisions with other members of the clinical team, including disease management and wellness coaches.
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience and Education:
- Fully unrestricted Nurse Practitioner state of Washington license required.
- Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- DEA and ACLS or CPR certification is required.
- At least two years experience in primary care setting preferred
- Family Practice, Urgent Care or Emergency Room experience preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Nurse Practitioner should be confident in treating all ages, minor office procedures and use of EHR
- Bilingual in Spanish/English is strongly preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced setting
- Excellent organizational and time management skills – ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of the clinic security regulations.
- Ability to maintain regular and reliable attendance.
- Ability to relate well with the patients and healthcare team members and function within a stressful environment.
- Ability to accurately compile data and perform detailed work.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of material and information.
- Ability to maintain professional appearance and demeanor.
