Position Highlights



  • Work location: Texas Health Ft. Worth, 1300 Pennsylvania Avenue, Fort Worth, TX 76104

  • Work environment: The Women's Center at Texas Health Ft. Worth, a MAGNET, and Baby-friendly designated/Texas 10-Step facility, has been named "Best Place to Have a Baby".


• 18-bed LDR's
• 5-bay OB/ED - opened May 2020
• 5 triage rooms
• 3 OR suites
• Average 300 + deliveries per month.
• Float within women's services - Antepartum
• Wide range of patients and plan of care - water births, nitrous oxide, Midwifery and high-risk patients



  • Work hours: Part-time, 24 hours weekly, (2) 12-hour shifts, 6:30PM - 7:00AM

  • Salary range: $26.50 - $50.82 per hour (based on relevant RN experience) + great shift Differentils

  • $5,000 Sign-On Bonus! for Part-time



Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth is a 726-bed, Magnet-designated regional referral center that has served the residents of Tarrant County and surroundings communities since 1930. Hospital services include cardiovascular care, high-risk obstetrics, gynecology, orthopedics and sports medicine, neonatal intensive care, and trauma/emergency medicine. Qualifications
Qualifications



  • Associate Degree in Nursing is required; BSN preferred

  • CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency (required)



  • Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire

  • BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support certification through the American Heart Association required upon hire

  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification required upon hire

  • NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 days is required

  • 1 Year Experience as a clinical nurse or completion of an RN residency program required

  • More than 2 years Labor & Delivery RN experience strongly preferred

  • In addition to the required qualifications, a successful RN will:



  • Demonstrate a high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.

  • maintain a positive, customer-focused attitude toward patients

  • possess a strong work ethic and always display a high level of professionalism



  • have basic computer skills using Medical management application systems



Position Responsibilities
Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
• assesses the patient
• plans the care of the patient
• intervenes as appropriate
• evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
• Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
• Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
• Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers
