Full Time Disability Medical Evaluation Coordinator (PEBLO)

Needed On-Site at Scott AFB, IL (east of Belleville, IL)

2 Weeks PTO, 56 hours sick time, 11 Paid Federal Holidays

Qualifications:

Desired Work Experience:

Previous experience with disability as a:

• Two years experience out of the last 6 years as a Beneficiary Services Representative (BSR), Physical Evaluation Board Liaison Officer (PEBLO)- Air Force

OR

• Two years of experience as a VA Medical Service Coordinator (MSC)

OR

• Two years experience as a Medical Evaluation Specialist, Care Coordinator (other Military)

OR

• Five years experience working in a Civilian Disability Program

• Civilian Disability Services


• Insurance Disability Services


• Worker's Comp Services


• Social Security or State Disability Evaluation Services

This experience is a plus, BUT not required:

• Knowledge of military healthcare delivery system


• Knowledge of TRICARE and/or Medical Evaluation Board (“MEB”) and/or Disability Evaluation System (“DES”).


• Ability to work with complex issues that arise when addressing fitness for duty or physical disability evaluation issues


• Ability to counsel and explain benefits to patients with tact
