Job Opportunity: Hiring Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
Position Overview: Cuero Regional Hospital is seeking a dedicated and experienced Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality, holistic, and evidence-based medical care under the supervision of a physician. This role involves assessing patients, formulating care plans, and ensuring continuity of care across the lifespan in a family practice setting. Key Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide quality, cost-effective, and evidence-based medical care.
- Assess patient health histories and obtain objective information to formulate and adjust care plans as needed.
- Complete patient charting in the EMR, review diagnostic test results, and alter care plans accordingly.
- Consult with supervising physicians and adhere to established policies and procedures.
- Participate in quality/safety programs and adjust personal practice to achieve quality/safety metrics.
- Demonstrate effective communication skills in all patient interactions, ensuring patient safety through the use of two patient identifiers.
- Actively support the mission and vision of Cuero Regional Hospital by participating in community volunteer opportunities and continuing education for professional development.
Qualifications:
- For Nurse Practitioners:
- Current Texas RN license and Masters degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
- Minimum of 5 years of acute nursing experience required; 1 year as a Midlevel Practitioner or 3 years of relevant experience preferred.
- For Physician Assistants:
- Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience preferred.
- BLS Certification required.
Patient Population Served:
- Ability to provide care to a diverse patient population ranging from infants (0-12 months) to geriatrics (70+ years).
