Nursing Administration Jobs
Nurse Manager
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, all careers in the nursing field will be excellent in the next decade, including nursing managerial positions. A nurse manager coordinates all nursing staff, is in charge of hiring new staff and maintains a list of all inventory and supplies necessary for the nursing staff. To become a nurse manager, one must complete a Bachelor’s Degree in nursing and must pass the national nursing licensing examination to become an RN. Many nurses continue their education and earn a Master’s Degree in nursing before pursuing a career in nurse management. However, an employer also values clinical experience and leadership ability in addition to education. A clinical nurse manager can expect to earn between $60,000 and $80,000 per year depending on geographical location, the size of the nursing staff at the facility, and the skill level of the nursing manager.
